You can compensate for low or high arches in your feet using custom fit orthotics which will benefit you in walking around town, standing during your job and performing better in sports.
A subsection of the population includes people with abnormally high or low arches in their feet. Since our posture begins at the feet, any instability or strain in the arches is multiplied at each joint up the body from the ankles, knees, hips, back and neck. If you have flat feet or very high arches you probably experience pain in your calves and back and possibly knees. If you are involved in athletics then this pain is amplified and also causes poorer performance during sprinting and jumping as well as agility and long distance running. Fortunately, even though low and high arches is a permanent condition, custom fit orthotics are an easy, very affordable solution that will address all of the pain as well as increase your athletic performance.
